My Trip to Texas

I just got back from my trip to Texas with my Mom, Savannah, and Heather (my Grandpa and Grandma Yardley came, too). I had a lot of fun. The first thing we did there when we got to the Cluff's house was sleep because we didn't get there until later. The next day the kids had to go to school, so I read until about ten, then we decided that we should go to the mall. So we did. We went to a bunch of cool stores and had a great time. I got two shirts and earrings.

The next day the kids didn't go to school so we could go to Carlesbad Caverns. We saw a lot of really cool looking formations, I loved it. If you ever go there, though I suggest you walk down the little pathway that leads into the cave. It has a lot of fun stuff to look at! At about four o'clock we all decided on having a lunner type of thing in the little snack place inside of the cold cave. Emily got a sandwich and I was about to get one, too when she told me that I better try hers first because she doesn't really like it. Lets just say that I agree with Emily, so instead I got a bowl of vegetables. The vegetables weren't much better, but I would rather have that than nothing. Savannah got the last yogurt cup so she had to share, that was probably the best tasting thing there. After our snacks we explored the cave because there wasn't any tour guides we could go where ever we wanted! When we were all done we went into the gift shop and bought presents for everybody.

The day after that was a Saturday, and Justin's baptism! It was really cool and I personally really liked it. Emily and I did a duet, I played the violin and she played the piano. I really enjoyed it. After the baptism we had a delicious dinner. Then we decided that we should go somewhere special for Justin's baptism. So we finally all agreed that the littler kids and anyone who wanted to go would go to the park, and the bigger kids would go to Joyland (an amusement park). When we got to Joyland we discovered that it had closed about a week ago, so we went to a corn maze instead. It was really amazing and hard, but we eventually made it out. We also got to shoot a corn cannon thing when we got out. After we where all done at the corn maze place we went to a frozen yogurt shop. I got Island Coconut and Oreos on my frozen yogurt. When we got back to their house we went straight to bed.

And then it was Sunday, so we all got ready for church and headed out the door. After Sacrament Meeting I went to Young Women's with Emily (even though I wasn't really supposed to) it was fun! I liked it a lot. After church Emily's Grandparents on the other side came over for dinner, we had ribs and brisket. For dessert Emily's Grandparents brought over chocolate cake and blueberry cobbler. They were both very delicious.

It seemed like time flew by and it was already our last day. On Monday the kids had to go to school, but we went to the Science Spectrum with Ryan, Abby, and Aunt Nicole. It had some pretty amazing and weird things that you could do. Then we went to McDonald's for lunch and before we knew it we were already on the plane home.
